2014 Porsche Cajun

Now that Porsche officially part of the Volkswagen group (and not vice versa, in contrast to the old script Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking), the Stuttgart sports car, SUV and sedan producers free use of performance parts bin makes the parent. Joining the Cayenne, which shares its platform with the Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7 will be a compact SUV called Cajun and now we have learned that will be closely linked with the Audi Q5.

The curious name to evoke "Cayenne Junior", and, yes, cayenne pepper is an important element in cooking spicy Cajun (which also means "Acadian cuisine," but the similarities to the three row crossover SUV GMC here). Thinking about the Cajun nickname, we just want that Porsche would return to the numbers. But an aversion to all the badges with the notable exception of the 911-mark seems to have penetrated deeply. This heritage Wiedeking is not going away anytime soon.

If it looks like a Porsche

Measured in terms of exterior design alone, it is difficult to say because they are closely related to Cajun and Q5. Porsche SUVs are shorter, lower and wider than the Audi. The Cajun will be launched with four doors at first, but an even sportier two-door is in preparation.

Cajun on inner language Cayenne Panamera and style that a central spine of the large buttons and knobs and a dashboard, which made the Porsche sports car, with two ports mentioned agents. We expect an optional Sport Chrono Package, accelerating aggressively tuned, a program of launch control and a clock prominently chaired the panel.

The Cajun factory will be built next to the brand's Cayenne, the Panamera in Leipzig. It will be presented in early 2013 as model-2014 competitors include the Audi Q5 and SQ5 (obviously), the BMW X1 and X3, Infiniti EX, and at the lower end of the mini-segment Paceman same as the coupe, two-door crossover according to Countryman. There is a wide choice for car lovers with a penchant for SUVs, once again, Porsche offers the promise of a spicy dishes.
