Qualification is the second phase of the R18 at Sebring to pay? It was a very helpful session. We spent most of four days, from Monday to Thursday, and all of the Audi Sport drivers were involved. The weather was mostly hot and there was high humidity, and all this combined with the ruthlessness of Sebring race track. So we had authentic conditions, as it was during the race weekend. And one of the days, the track was a bit wet for some time.
R18 What is feeling?
I was pleasantly surprised because the windshield of closed vehicles become dirty quickly when it rains, which means that the windscreen of a car without this benefit.Last time I rode a prototype closed in wet conditions, was in 1999. And I was with the progress that has been made since then is amazing because I felt really good in the Audi R18, even in these conditions. It felt great to work in dry conditions and the vehicle responds in a precise manner.
How do you feel after the test, the second evolution?
On Monday I was at the wheel R15 TDI for comparison. Audi R18 is a step ahead of the R15 TDI in an incredible number of areas, although the rules provide for a much smaller and thus less power. It is clear that there is still much to learn about a new car and it is not yet equal to the test against the competition.
