Times change, and one way to estimate how much has changed in the world of cars, the term "sports car". Consider a long, long time not so defined, rather narrow. Was a two-seater sports car, two-door coupe or convertible, a little lean on luxury with more attention on the track. Thirty or 40 years, there were a few brands and models, that the bill, such as Ferrari and Porsche will not fit on top, and MG and Alfa-Romeo may be the "cheap" category.
Today you can forget about everything. An expanded definition of "sports car" and blown up considerably, although some purists will stick to the two-seater coupe and convertible definition.
